The elegant full-length flat stainless steel dishwasher door of the GE GDT580SMFES opens downward, offering full access to an extra-large 16-place setting capacity rack system. To help you load and unload all of your dishes and cookware with ease, this dishwasher is equipped with a brilliant two rack system. For convenience, the adjustable upper rack can be moved into four different positions, creating the Tall-Over-Tall™ design when desired.

 

The Tall-Over-Tall™ design allows you to move the upper rack into the higher position, allowing the lower rack to accommodate tall stockpots and other cookware.

 

The lower rack offers a 3-piece anywhere silverware basket. This 3-piece silver basket allows you to separate the three compartments into individual silverware holds and place them anywhere on the dish racks. Thanks to GE, a fixed silverware basket will never limit your loading ability again.

 

The GE GDT580SMFES offers four wash cycles and nine wash options to provide you with complete control over your cleaning performance. Its four wash cycles include auto sense, heavy wash, normal wash, and light wash. For additional selections, this unit offers nine wash options including delay start 1-12-hours, steam prewash, child lock, Wash TempBoost, Sani (NSF Certified), heated dry, wash zone upper only, was zone lower only, and start/reset.

 

The intelligent autosense wash cycle takes the guesswork out of achieving clean dishes. This system uses built-in sensors to detect the size and soil level of the load. Once the load size and soil level are detected, the autosense cycle fills the wash tub with the optimal amount of water and selects the best cleaning cycle for the job.
