The KUCS03FTSS full-integrated Architect Series II console design trash compactor nicely compliments your kitchen décor, while providing you the convenience of out of sight trash reduction. Its large 1.4 cubic-foot capacity bin uses KitchenAid’s advanced continuous Solid Pack control to reduce trash by up to 80%, with a 5 to 1 compaction ratio. Meaning, your volume will be reduced significantly, with this unit five bags of trash will into one trash bag. Imagine how nice it would be only to have to drag one trash can out for collection instead of three or four.
 
KitchenAid designed the interior of this trash disposal appliance with an all-welded steel constructed bin with zinc coating. The zinc-coated interior helps to enhance the system’s odor management system; that consists of a whisper-quiet odor control fan and fragrance-free charcoal filter.
 
As the odor-control fan runs inside the disposal unit, the Whisper Quiet Plus Sound Insulation System keeps the operations quiet. Starting the 1/3 HP motor is just as simple as securing a bag. First, open the container, leaving the key-knob in the on position, and load your trash. After you have loaded all of the trash into the bin, close the container and step on the foot pedal. When it is the cycle has finished, turn the disposal off with the same foot pedal, and use the toe-bar drawer opened to open the bin door.
