Home appliance shoppers are spoiled in Oakville/Burlington Ontario, Canada
They never have to wonder if they made the right decision about refrigerators, freezers, ovens, stoves/ranges, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washing machines or dryers. They’ll know they got it right if they got their home appliances from Canadian Appliance Source in the RioCan Centre Burloak at QEW and Burloak Drive (3487 Wyecroft Road).
It’s a huge relief to have no reservations after dropping a significant amount of money on a home appliance. This is especially true because of (a) how you use home appliances and (b) what you’re looking to improve with a new appliance.
We take these two questions into account the moment we start a new relationship with a potential customer, and this comes through in the questions we ask right off the top.
What do you use your appliance for?
You’d be surprised how many different answers we get to this question because you’d think they’d be pretty standard: “I use my fridge for keeping food cold and fresh,” “I use my oven for making food,” “I use my washing machine to get my clothes clean.”
The answers we get are much more elaborate and helpful for building an accurate understanding of a customer, and by extension a better understanding of what they’d want in a home appliance. Here are some actual answers we’ve gotten:
“I use my stove to challenge myself. My goal is to make a native dish from every country in the world.”
“I use my microwave oven to save time prepping dinner on weekday evenings so I can relax after work.”
“I use my oven for a home-based cookie business that’s getting bigger every day.”
“I use my dishwasher twice a day because I have 18-month-old triplets at home and at least one of them is eating at any given time throughout the day.”
“I use my second fridge for beer, wine and leftovers.”
“I use my washing machine and dryer every night because I’m expected to show up to work in a perfectly clean uniform every morning.”
This kind of information is helpful for us because it gives us insights into our customers’ lives. And a home appliance is a big part of making life more comfortable.
What are you looking to improve with a new home appliance?
We ask this because people are driven to visit our showroom for a reason. If we know what that reason is and what you have now, we can recommend an appliance that lets you hold onto the capabilities that matter to you while adding the features you wish you had now.
Again, the answers range here, too. We’ve heard everything from, “I want more oven functionality so I can cook more diverse foods,” to “I’d like a more eco-friendly washer/dryer because I want to set a good example for my kids to, “I need a bigger fridge because I’m renovating my kitchen and the old fridge won’t fit the new design.”
These answers complete the loop and give us a clear place to start talking about home appliance recommendations. And the directions we can go are endless.
An unmatchable selection makes it possible
The Canadian Appliance Source lineup of brands is like a who’s who of home appliances. All the major ones are well-represented, but so are boutique labels the real connoisseurs know. You’ll find Samsung, LG, Maytag, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Bosch, Café, Frigidaire, Electrolux, JennAir, Monogram and more represented here. And under those brand umbrellas, you’ll find products at multiple price points, multiple trims with combinations of features and benefits, and styles to suit almost anyone’s taste.
This is one of two main Canadian Appliance Source differences (we’ll touch on the other momentarily), and it’s a big one knowing what you want and not being able to find it is frustrating. It happens all the time at the big-box stores because home appliances aren’t a priority for them. They run out of a particular brand, trim or style and you might as well take it off your wish list because you’ll have no idea when they’ll be getting new inventory in.
That doesn’t happen here because appliances are our main focus. We don’t trade in anything else. And when we run out of something, we’re not out for long.
An unmatchable experience makes it probable
Most if not all home appliance shoppers in Oakville and Burlington make a stop at the Canadian Appliance Source showroom during the buying cycle. And while our prices are good, they’re not so earth-shattering and shadily low that they alone are worth a visit.
But if you add the unfathomably high degree of customer service to the higher-but-nowhere-near-unreasonable price prices, what you have is a legitimate reason to pay us a visit, take a look around and ask any questions.
That experience goes well beyond “service with a smile” or “the customer is always right.” It includes a manufacturer-level understanding of the product, what it does, what it can do and how it will help.
It also includes the rare ability of being able to review high-brow concepts and make them accessible to more people. How some home appliance retailers explain the pluses and minuses of the product is what endears a customer to a customer service rep.
Furthermore, we insist on simplicity when taking a customer about home appliances. Many home appliance sales reps will hide behind jargon because they don’t know how to break the concept down in a relatable way.
No one wants to feel inferior or uneducated for not knowing the home appliance lingo. At the same time, people don’t want to be confused: confusion leads to annoyance, which ultimately leads to attrition.
But perhaps the most unique thing about the Canadian Appliance Source experience is how easy our team makes it to feel confident in a home appliance choice. You’ll know why it was recommended and you’ll be able to visualize it in your space.
An unmatchable approach makes it exciting
We’ve already talked about what makes us different from our competitors in terms of selection and service. The attitudes we have towards both is a reflection of the way we approach every potential sale. A good example of this is “best brand.”
We don’t believe in “best brand” because the entire construct is ridiculous. What’s best for you isn’t remotely close to what might be best for someone else; and it’s probably miles from what the retailer’s suppliers have to say about “best brand” so it really doesn’t matter.
An unmatchable location makes it exciting
The Canadian Appliance Source showroom in Oakville/Burlington is ideally located for efficiency and convenience, directly off the QEW by the Appleby GO station. Our neighbours include building, construction and electrical companies like Vicwest Building Products, Aztec Electrical Supply and Laurel Steel, as well as Home Depot. When the hard work of shopping is done, treat yourself to a show at Cineplex Oakville or get some fresh air and exercise at Sherwood Forest Park (featuring four baseball diamonds, six grass fields plus a turf field, indoor gymnasium and playground). If all that leaves you hungry, you can also stop for a bite at one of the nearby restaurants like Kelsey’s Original Roadhouse or Milestones.
An unmatchable understanding of customer needs makes it interesting.
This is especially true for our commercial customers, many of whom buy in bulk. These contractors, builders, tradespeople and interior designers are looking to make quick decisions, save time and make margins on every aspect of the project. Our years of experience working for people like that has taught us to speak their language.
As for regular consumers buying for their homes, it’s not enough that they know what they want. To be truly confident, a consumer should know why they want it over any other product and why they want to buy it here. This is around the time you’d break out your company narrative.
It’s also true for new customers versus returning customers. New customers get the series of questions we insist be answered, but we already have files on returning customers with the most recent data points you’ve given us. If things have changed, please do let us know so we can update our file accordingly.
For all these reasons and so many more, home appliance shoppers in Oakville, Burlington, all of Ontario and, really, all of Canada put Canadian Appliance Source on the list.
We hope to see you in the showroom soon. In the meantime, you can look around our website and start doing some preliminary research on brands, styles, trims and prices so we can hit the ground running right away, get an understanding of where your sensibilities are and get you the right fridge, oven, stove/range, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine or dryer.
See you soon!
