Home appliance shopping in Vancouver? Great. Keep reading.
You’re exactly where you need to be. And the Canadian Appliance Source store at 1905 Main St, Vancouver, BC is where you want to be next because you won’t have a better home appliance shopping experience anywhere else in Vancouver, BC or the rest of Canada (unless you visit one of our other showroom locations).
Here are the five reasons why you should keep getting to know about Canadian Appliance Source’s Vancouver showroom.
Superior selection of home appliances
It’s a bold statement but we stand behind it and we can back it up. The list of brands we carry is exhaustive, ranging from the household names to the boutique appliance makers. Samsung, LG, Maytag, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Bosch, Café, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Electrolux, JennAir, Monogram and more are all here. And under those brand umbrellas, we have the largest selection of price ranges to choose from. We do this with intention because after almost 15 years of selling home appliances, we know that many of our customers want to stick with the brand they’ve always chosen. We make sure they can grow within it as they grow their homes and their families.
We also comb the brand portfolios for a range of styles that represent all the tastes you’d find in Vancouver, in BC and across Canada. Some people don’t pay much attention to the look of the home appliance they’re buying, and that’s their right. We encourage our customers to consider style because of the average home appliance’s size. You’re going to notice it when you enter the room it’s in. If it doesn’t work with the interior design of the space, you’ll never feel truly comfortable in there. If you’re still designing the space and you buy a home appliance with a hard-to-match colour or a strange surface, you might see that it impedes what you can do creatively with the room.
For all these reasons and more, we put a tremendous amount of effort into our curation process. And the effort comes through on the showroom floor.
Superior home appliance shopping experience
If you’re like most people, you don’t know a ton about home appliances, what makes them different and how to differentiate between brands, trims, features, benefits and value propositions.
Being able to confidently evaluate all five would be good for anyone faced with the prospect of spending a pretty penny on a new home appliance. You expect the person selling you the home appliance to be able to help you do all of it by explaining everything simply and easily in a way that resonates with you, is relevant to your real life and that you understand.
You won’t get that at big box stores because the sales people you’ll deal with there simply don’t have the product knowledge. And why would you expect them to? They’re responsible for knowing about every product line they sell. They know a bit about them all, but nothing in-depth about anything. If that’s good enough for you, then that’s great. It’s not good enough for us. We go the other way.
At Canadian Appliance Source, all we sell are home appliances. This focus gives our people the freedom to dive deep (way deep) into each category. They get to know the brands and what each one stands for. They get to know each brand’s lineup of home appliances, the top features of each one and who those features would benefit most — each feature will benefit a different kind of person, and the same feature benefits different people depending on which brand is offering it on what trim.
The hours of time our people put into product knowledge is matched by their effort to understand customers. This endeavour is broken up into two sections: what people need (WPN) and what people need to know (WPNTK).
WPN changes from customer to customer, which is why we take so much time getting to know them and what they value. In our experience, everyone values something different in a home appliance because everyone values something different in life.
Consider the person who values style above all. They’ll want something that goes with the feel they’ve created for the room their home appliance is going to live in and they might be willing to compromise a little on function to get the look they want. That’s not to say that the home appliance we show them will be a glorified paper weight because we only stock well-built and highly regarded appliances. But our recommendations will lean more toward design.
On the flipside is the person who values performance above all and finds joy in what they can do with the appliance. We may show that person a home appliance from the same brands we showed the first person (and we might even show them some of the same products), but we’ll explain its features and benefits differently. That’s an example of WPNTK.
WPNTK is the same for everybody because it comes down to understanding why this particular home appliance is good for them; and understanding starts and ends with clarity. We stress clarity in our employee training programs: the ability to break down complex concepts in a way that the average person understands.
We teach our people to approach every customer with empathy and forward thinking: “I understand what you’re saying, I appreciate your situation and I have a solution that will work today and tomorrow.”
Anyone trying to sell anything to anyone else should embody this approach. Many don’t, which eventually leads to a negative experience. We do, which is why for almost 15 years, home owners, renters, contractors, builders and interior designers have consistently chosen Canadian Appliance Source for their home appliances.
Superior view of what a good home appliance can do
It’s very easy to dismiss home appliances as purely functional: the oven cooks food; the fridge keeps food cold; the microwave oven reheats cooked food; the dishwasher gets dishes clean; the washing machine cleans clothes; the dryer dries wet clothes.
We look deeper than that, going beyond what a home appliance does to what a home appliance can do for you.
For example, a good fridge with more room for fruits and vegetables could inspire someone to actually buy more fruits and vegetables. This will, in turn, lead to a healthier diet and a healthier relationship with food.
It could also inspire more dietary creativity, and with the right oven and stove or range, you could take creative licence you might not have before. You could try new techniques, invest in new cookware your new oven and stove/range can accommodate and perhaps awaken (or reawaken) the joy of cooking.
Of course, with cooking comes cleaning, and a good dishwasher can be a game-changer in this regard. If it’s big enough to handle an oversized wash, you’ll run fewer cycles, which means more time to spend talking with your family or dinner guests, and less water used, which will lower your bills. Who doesn’t want that?
Speaking of water usage, the right washing machine will significantly cut that down. It will also have enough settings to do a quality job on anything in your wardrobe, perhaps including a piece or two you’ve been coveting but may not have bought because of cleaning issues.
These are the kinds of perspectives someone who knows appliances can offer. And they’re the kind of perspectives that help you make informed decisions you can be confident in from the day you make them to the following year. That more than anything is the Canadian Appliance Source difference.
Our Store location
