This Broan series, which has received HVI (Home Ventilating Institute) certification and supports requirements for Green Building Programs from USGBC® LEED®, NAHB and ENERGY STAR®, is our first to be ENERGY STAR® qualified. The QDE Series offers a total lifetime energy savings of 564 kWh over comparable standard models.
BROAN introduced the first ENERGY STAR® Qualified range hood on the market -- the QDE Series -- to save you energy and money. This hood has a fully enclosed bottom to aid in trapping cooktop grease and odors. The dishwasher-safe filters make cleaning easy. Includes energy-efficient compact fluorescent bulbs to improve cooktop visibility and reduce operating costs.
