The DacorDRW24980RAP wine column is a luxury, built‑in solution for serious collectors who want professional‑grade preservation in a seamlessly integrated design. At just under 24 inches wide, it tucks elegantly into custom cabinetry while still accommodating up to 100 bottles, making it ideal for both compact urban kitchens and expansive entertaining spaces. Behind its panel‑ready exterior, this column showcases a sophisticated interior engineered specifically for fine wine, starting with three independently controlled temperature zones that allow you to store reds, whites, and sparkling wines at their ideal serving or cellaring temperatures in the same unit. Each zone has its own dedicated evaporator, helping maintain stable conditions and minimizing flavor‑damaging fluctuations that are common in more basic coolers.
A standout feature of the DRW24980RAP is its SteelCool all‑stainless interior with immersive 3D LED lighting, which not only creates a dramatic presentation but also uses wine‑optimized lighting to help protect your collection from harmful UV exposure. The triple‑pane, argon‑filled glass door further shields bottles from UV and IR rays while providing a clear view of labels, so you can admire and select your wines without repeatedly opening the door. For a clean, contemporary aesthetic, the column offers a handle‑free, Push‑To‑Open door assist: a gentle press is all it takes to open, making it especially appealing in modern, minimalist kitchens or installations where matching custom panels are used.
Under the surface, PreciseCooling™ technology works with multiple humidity sensors to keep the interior between roughly 50–80% humidity and to hold temperatures within a very tight range, helping corks stay supple and preventing premature aging or oxidation. Smooth‑gliding oak Glideracks cradle each bottle, reducing vibration and label damage compared with standard wire shelves, while dedicated magnum and presenter shelves let you showcase special vintages. Wi‑Fi connectivity with smart‑home integration allows you to monitor temperatures, receive alerts, and check the status of your collection from your phone, adding peace of mind when you’re away. Combining advanced preservation technology, refined aesthetics, and thoughtful smart features, the DacorDRW24980RAP stands out as a premium choice for homeowners who want their wine storage to perform as beautifully as it looks.
