The 21-inch compact GE JP202DWW electric cooktop is perfect for homes or apartments with small kitchens. This compact cooktop installs right into the countertop and features two versatile coil heating elements. Thanks GE, even if you have a kitchen the size of a closet, you can still prepare home cooked meals without taking up a large amount of valuable counter space.
 
This compact GE cooktop dazzles when installed flush with your countertop. Its small 21-inch design makes it the ideal cooktop for small kitchen, to conserve valuable counter space. When installing this cooktop into your kitchen, there are a couple of things you should keep in mind.
•    When installed the cooktop, the bottom must be at least 1 ½” of free space left between the bottom of the cooktop and any combustible material.
•    If you are installing this cooktop over a wall oven, there is no free space required.
•    This cooktop is approved for use over the GE under sink dishwasher model GSM2100.
 
The GE JP202DWW cooktop features two coil elements, an 8-inch ring and a 6-inch ring. These Calrod heating elements were carefully designed to deliver the same even heat performance as larger electric GE cooktops.
 
GE designed this cooktop for quick and easy cleanup with its plug-in elements and removable chrome one-piece drip bowls. While the plug-in elements deliver even heat for your cooking pleasure, they also unplug for easy removal so you can clean the cooktop easier. The removable chrome drip bowls are perfect for containing minor spills, plus they lift out easily for an ever fast cleaning experience.
 
This cooktop features the control knobs in the front of appliance, so you can keep your hands away from the hot burners.
 
As an added safety bonus, this cooktop features a heating element-on indicator. This indication will illuminate with a red light to indicate the cooking surface is turned on and active, preventing accidental burns from happening. There is nothing worse than touching a heating coil you thought was cool, only to receive second-degree burns on your hand!
 
The cooktop setup:
Left front element: 6-inch coil with 1250-Watt output
Right front element: 6-inch coil with 1500-Watt 4-turn output.
 
With such high-heat options available on this compact GE cooktop, you can still execute many of your favorite cooking techniques.
