The sleek black ceramic glass cooktop adds a flair of sophistication to any contemporary kitchen as it accents the stainless steel frame nicely. This elegant, smooth top enhances the look of any home kitchen with its premium cooking surface, as it offers six versatile elements. To take your cooking experience a step further, this cooking surface offers a convenient bridge element and two dual elements.

The bridge element allows two cooking elements to combine, to create a unique, elongated cooking element. This elongated heat source is ideal for griddles, gourmet pans, and other large cookware.

Both dual elements, one 5-inch/8-inch element with 1,900-Watt heat output and one 9-inch/12-inch element with 3,000-Watt heat output, allow you to match your cookware to the heating power. Thanks to GE this GE Café range takes the guesswork out of successfully executing your favorite cooking techniques.

For everyday cooking use, this elegant smooth top offers two 6-inch elements for every cooking, one 7-inch element, and one 8-inch element providing you with the flexibility you need to create culinary masterpieces in your home kitchen.

As a safety feature, the cooking surface features seven hot surface indicator lights. No matter which element you turn on, a small right light will illuminate, alerting you the surface is hot to the touch. The hot surface indicators will remain lit until the cooking elements are turned off, and free of residual heat.

The GE Café CBC980STSS electric range features a total oven capacity of 6.0 cubic feet. For your baking, roasting, and broiling convenience you can take advantage of an upper 1.0 cubic foot capacity oven cavity and lower 5.0 cubic foot capacity oven cavity with Precise Air Convection System and TrueTemp™ Temperature Management System.

The innovative Precise Air Convection System delivers superior baking and roasting results through a fan installed in the rear of the oven. This fan circulates heated air evenly throughout the oven cavity, ensuring the same amount of heated air is delivered to each rack, wall, and floor of the oven. No matter where you place your dish in the oven cavity, you can rest assured every dish will receive the same uniform results.

To take the oven’s performance a step further, GE included the advanced TrueTemp™ Temperature Management System. This system alternates the heat source between the top broil element and the hidden bake element to ensure heat is delivered to the top and bottom of the oven cavity evenly.
