Bring discreet, pro-style ventilation to your kitchen with the Elica EPR628S2, a stainless steel cabinet-insert hood designed to disappear into standard cabinetry while delivering the kind of performance serious home cooks appreciate. Built around a robust 600 CFM internal blower with three speeds, this insert quickly clears smoke, steam, and lingering odors so your kitchen stays comfortable whether you’re searing steaks, stir-frying, or simmering sauces. What sets this model apart from many similarly sized inserts is the thoughtful combination of high capture performance and refined sound control: Elica’s Hush System sound-deadening design helps reduce perceived noise while still moving substantial air, making it easier to keep conversations going while you cook. Another standout advantage is the flexible venting design signaled right in the “Top & Rear” configuration—this unit supports a 6-inch round duct connection from either the top or the rear, giving installers more freedom to work around framing and existing duct runs without compromising a clean, built-in look. For kitchens where ducting isn’t possible, the EPR628S2 is also convertible for recirculating operation with an optional kit, expanding where it can be used.
Day-to-day upkeep is refreshingly simple thanks to Elica’s dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle slot filters, engineered to capture a higher percentage of grease and hold more of it than traditional baffle designs—an especially valuable upgrade for frequent cooking. Bright, modern illumination comes from two premium LED lights (with dimming capability), helping you see true food color and doneness while using less energy and offering long service life. Installation is streamlined as well, with a snap-on easy installation mechanism that helps reduce time and hassle during fit-up. Sized at approximately 28 inches wide, the Elica EPR628S2 is an ideal choice for homeowners who want powerful, polished ventilation that stays visually quiet—yet performs loudly where it counts.
