The GEJVM2165SMSS over‑the‑range microwave is a sleek, stainless steel solution designed to streamline everyday cooking while maximizing the space above your range. With a generous 1.6 cu. ft. capacity and a 30"‑class width, it easily accommodates family‑size dinner plates, casserole dishes, and microwave‑safe cookware, making it a practical fit for busy kitchens that need both performance and efficiency. Behind its clean, modern exterior is a thoughtfully engineered appliance that focuses on the features you actually use most, starting with intuitive digital controls and clear, easy‑to‑read displays that simplify everything from quick reheats to more precise defrosting. One standout convenience is the dedicated Add 30 Seconds function, which lets you instantly extend cooking time without stopping and reprogramming the microwave, ideal for those moments when food needs “just a bit more” heat. Another signature advantage is the Instant ON one‑touch operation for popular tasks, so you can start common cooking cycles with a single press instead of scrolling through multiple menus. Above your cooktop, the built‑in two‑speed, 300 CFM venting system works as a true range hood substitute, actively helping to clear smoke, steam, and lingering cooking odours while maintaining relatively quiet operation, a combination that many basic over‑the‑range models simply don’t match. For families, the integrated child lock‑out feature adds peace of mind by disabling the control panel to prevent accidental starts or unwanted changes to settings. Thoughtful interior lighting and a turntable help ensure even heating and easy visibility, while the over‑the‑range installation keeps your counters free and your kitchen looking organized. Whether you’re melting butter, popping a quick snack, or reheating a full plate of leftovers, the GEJVM2165SMSS delivers reliable 1000‑watt microwave power, practical ventilation, and user‑friendly controls in one space‑saving appliance that’s built to handle everyday cooking with ease.
