For your convenience, the GE GIE18HSHSS top freezer refrigerator was designed with a reversible door. The reversible door allows the cooling companion to be installed where it is most convenient in your home, without walls or other appliances limiting your access to the food storage compartments.

When the stunning refrigerator door is opened wide, you are granted full access to a large 13.57 cubic foot capacity fresh food compartment. To help you store and organize all of your household groceries, the fresh food compartment is equipped with two full-width adjustable Spill-Proof glass shelves, four adjustable door shelves, three cabinet drawers (including two humidity-controlled crisper drawers, and one full-width snack drawer), and a dairy compartment.

The humidity-controlled crisper drawers are the perfect location for storing all of your fresh produce. Fresh fruits and vegetables must be stored at a slightly higher humidity level than the rest of the refrigeration compartment. Raising the humidity level in the fresh produce compartments helps slow the over-ripening process. By slowing the over-ripening process, your fruits and vegetables can last up to four days longer than before.

For optimal storage convenience, the GE GIE18HSHSS features adjust Spill Proof shelving. The Spill Proof shelving are designed with raised edges, allowing each shelf to contain up to 12 ounces of fluids. Containing fluid, where it spills, prevents accidental spills from seeping throughout the entire refrigerator compartment.

The large 7.3 cubic foot capacity top freezer compartment was carefully designed to store all of your frozen favorites. With a full-width adjustable shelf and two fixed door shelves, you will have no problem storing all of your frozen favorites. Enhancing this freezer compartment even further, GE equipped this unit with a factory installed icemaker and ice bucket.

To take your cooling convenience to a whole new level, this refrigerator features an advanced temperature management system. This refrigerator uses built-in temperature sensors to monitor the internal temperature of the refrigerator and freezer compartments. When the built-in sensors detect a significant change in the temperature, the compressor is activated automatically, allowing cool air to flow out of the air tower, delivering cool area to all the places it is needed most.

The upfront temperature control panel makes it quick and easy for you to set the refrigerator to the ideal temperature. This control panel allows you to set the temperature for the refrigerator and freezer compartments separately. When you make an adjustment to the temperature, the responsive control panel alerts the compressor immediately.
