This commercial-style series wall-mount canopy hood requires a powerful 600 CFM or 1200 CFM 3-speed motor. For your convenience, the KXW8748YSS can be installed internal or inline, meaning in the attic or crawl space.
 
The heavy-duty commercial design of this stunning wall-mount canopy hood can be installed over just about any cooktop with up to 108K BTU output. This means whether you have a 30-inch or 36-inch gas, electric, or induction cooktop, this ventilation system will meet your ventilation needs.
 
This KitchenAid canopy hood is more than just a ventilation system. The hidden 3-speed control panel also offers a two setting control over the halogen lighting, without taking away from the beautiful craftsmanship of the near professional-grade appliance. By adding light above your cooktop, your cooktop visibility will increase ten-fold, allowing you prepare beautiful culinary masterpieces without a problem.
 
The KXW8748YSS features an automatic on function. This feature turns the ventilation system on when specialized heat sensors detect excess heat buildup. Not only does this keep the kitchen air free from smoke, grease, debris, and other airborne bacteria, but it also helps protect your cabinetry from heat and grease damage.
 
To make cleaning easier than other ventilation hoods, KitchenAid equipped this unit with premium dishwasher-safe commercial-style baffle filters.
