The Architect Series II KitchenAid KUIC15NHZS automatic ice maker accents your current kitchen décor while providing you with a regular supply of high-quality ice cubes. For even more installation flexibility, this unit features a reversible door. The reversible door will open either to the left or the right, giving you the ability to install an ice maker where ever is more convenient.

This advanced KitchenAid ice maker features Clear Ice Technology. Clear Ice Technology produces the most preferred ice, in an uniform ¾” x 3/4 ” x 1/2” size and shape, making these ice cubes perfect for daily use or entertaining purposes. To help improve taste and clarity, the advanced system uses an integrated filter to remove contaminants from the water.

To produce perfect ice, the system will begin by rinsing itself thoroughly before beginning the ice making process. After the machine has finished the rinsing process, the ice making process will begin. Water is constantly circulated over a freezing plate, as the water freezes, minerals remaining in the water are rejected. Once the ice reaches the appropriate thickness, the sheet of ice is released, sliding onto the cutting grid. The cutting grid cuts the sheet of ice into the uniform shape and size your house guests and family will love. Finally, the ice is dumped into the convenient, easy to access storage bin.

The KUIC15NHZS will go through this process to produce up to 50 pounds of ice per day, with a maximum ice storage capacity of 25 pounds. For those times when you need fast, take advantage of the Max Ice feature; this feature produces ice 56% faster than the normal mode.

After the ice is cut, it is released into a large 25 pound capacity storage bin. For easy access to clear, uniform ice cubes chilling in the storage bin, the machine comes equipped with a convenient ice scoop.

As a bonus, this appliance features an automatic shut off function. If you forget to shut off the ice maker when you are finished making ice, the ice maker will turn off when its maximum storage capacity is reached. So you do not have to worry about wasting water, energy, or having a mess to clean up in the morning.
