The LG™ LMS1571SW microwave is a 1.5 cubic foot (cu. ft.) black countertop oven with digital touch controls for up to 1100 watts of cooking power. It comes equipped to melt chocolate, soften ice cream, defrost and cook on a 14.2-inch round glass turntable.  The LG™ LMS1571SW microwave is a mid-sized oven. It is designed to fit in counter spaces, but its 1.5 cubic foot size requires a little more of them.

The LG™ LMS1571SW control panel features  sensor touch cooking capacity for potatoes, rice, popcorn and vegetables (fresh or frozen). Otherwise, this LG digital oven panel is germane to its generation. Its digital dual-line VFD displays information entered. In fact, the blinking indicator on the LG™ LMS1571SW guides users through the microwave process, whether that be cooking time or just time to wait for the goods. The oven is fully-programmable, even for two stages of cooking with different time and power settings.

 Users can manually select from ten power levels, each representing ten percent of the oven's total 1100-watt power output. Therefore, users can expect to take a matter of seconds, or up to 17 minutes, to complete the job. Four slices of bacon warm in just under three minutes, while salmon steaks take eight minutes (both on "High" power). A pork loin takes over 16 minutes. Cooking times are based not only on power level, but by the pound of meat to be cooked.  

 The LG™ LMS1571SW microwave is oven-safe for many types of cookware. Glassware, disposable paperboard dishes, cooking bags, parchment, frozen dinner trays and browning dishes all work. However, users should first confirm that dinnerware or plastic are "microwave-safe" before placing them in this oven.

It is also fairly easy to test cookware for microwave usability. Just place the container in the LG™ LMS1571SW microwave along with an eight-ounce glass (250mL) filled with water. Heat it for one minute (on high). A container that is microwave-safe will remain reasonably cool while the water heats up; an unsuitable container is hot due to its absorption of energy and should not be used.

Whether defrosting in a tight time frame or just warming up some tea, the 1.5 cu. ft. LG™ LMS1571SW microwave is a simple but practical way to cook whatever stimulates the palette. Its standard digital controls and easy clean interior make this model a functional find for any kitchen.
