The Napoleon History

Napoleon began in 1976 when a small steel fabrication business, known as Wolf Steel Ltd., was started by Wolfgang Steel in Ontario, Canada. At the time, Wolfgang Steel has no idea what was in store for his company.

After the first-wood stove had rolled off the production line, the Napoleon commitment was clear, the small company was dedicated to everything they did. By 1981, the Napoleon name was adopted as the first single-glass door made with Pyroceram high temperature ceramic glass was produced. After this huge milestone, the demand for Napoleon wood stoves stretched beyond the Ontario borders, and spread into the United States and Europe.
